The CNK, originally known as Count Nosferatu, was formed in 1996 in Clermont-Ferrand, France. The group initially played black metal and released two demo tapes, Das schwarze Order in 1996 and Soleil noir in 1998, before disbanding that same year. In 2002, the band reformed under the name Count Nosferatu Kommando and released their first album, Ultraviolence Über Alles. The group then transitioned to The Cosa Nostra Klub, later simplifying to The CNK, and released L'Hymne à la Joie in 2007. This album incorporated samples from classical composers like Beethoven and Prokofiev. In 2012, they released their third album, Révisionnisme, with Snowy Shaw, which showcased a 1970s-inspired sound with elements of pop, rock, and glam. The CNK continued to perform live, including notable concerts such as the special event at Petit Bain in April 2014.
