Jahnavi Harrison is a British kirtan musician and presenter who is known for her Hindu mantra meditation music. Also known by her spiritual name Jahnavi Jivana dasi, she was born in the 1980s in the United Kingdom and raised in a family of Bhakti-yoga practitioners at Bhaktivedanta Manor. She trained in both Indian and Western classical music, including Carnatic music and Bharatanatyam dance, and graduated from Middlesex University in 2009 with a bachelor's degree in Linguistics and Creative Writing. Harrison co-founded Kirtan London to make mantra music accessible, and regularly served as a presenter on BBC Radio 4's Something Understood and BBC Radio 2's "Pause for Thought". She launched her recording career with her debut studio album, Like a River to the Sea, in July 2015, and was featured on the Grammy-nominated charity album Bhakti Without Borders on the track “Bhaja Govindam” in 2016. In 2020, she teamed up with Willow Smith to release the collaborative single “Surrender (Krishna Keshava)” and the extended play R I S E. She followed with her sophomore studio album, Into the Forest, in 2024, which earned a Grammy Award nomination for Best New Age, Ambient or Chant Album at the 2026 ceremony.
