Deathchain, originally known as Winterwolf, is a Finnish deathrash band formed in Kuopio. The group was founded in 1997 and initially released demos under their original name, including Death... Will Come Your Way (2000) and Blood for Death (2001). After renaming to Deathchain, they released their first demo, Poltergeist, in 2002. The band's debut album, Deadmeat Disciples, was released in 2003, followed by Deathrash Assault in 2005. Throughout the 2000s and 2010s, Deathchain continued to release albums such as Cult of Death (2007), Death Eternal (2008), and Ritual Death Metal (2013).
