Killing Addiction, a death metal band from Florida, United States of America, was formed in 1989 by Chris Wicklein and brothers Chad and Pat Bailey. Their early recordings, Legacies of Terror (1990) and Necrosphere (1991), established them in the underground tape-trading scene. In 1993, they released their debut full-length album, Omega Factor, through JL America Records. The band gained recognition by performing with notable acts such as Obituary and Atheist before disbanding in early 1994. Killing Addiction reformed in 2006, releasing the album Fall of the Archetypes (2010) and the EP When Death Becomes An Art (2015). Founding member Chad Bailey died on September 25, 2016. Their third album, Mind of a New God, was released in 2021.
