Christian Paccoud is a French singer-songwriter, accordionist, and stage director born in 1954 in Isère. He achieved professional recognition for a career that began after he was encouraged by the musician Maurice Fanon to move to Paris in 1976. Paccoud achieved professional recognition for performing at the festival Printemps de Bourges in 1986. His musical career included making his theater debut in the production Le Repas (1996) alongside the writer Valère Novarina. Paccoud achieved professional recognition for creating musical productions including Dansez les pantins (2004) and Polion le vagabond (2005). He achieved professional recognition for participating in the creation of a version of the work L’Opérette imaginaire (2009) in the Hungarian language. His discography included the live recording Cerise time tour 90 (1990) and the studio recording Arthur le pêcheur de chaussures (2000). Paccoud achieved professional recognition for the studio recording Des roses et des chiens (2001) and receiving the Prix du Syndicat de la critique for best composer of stage music for the work Le Vrai Sang (2011).
