Papa vs Pretty was an Australian rock band from Sydney, New South Wales, formed in 2006 by Thomas Rawle. Initially the solo act of the then 15-year-old Rawle, the group evolved into a three-piece with Angus Gardiner on bass guitar and Tom Myers on drums in 2008, and later added Luke Liang on guitar and keyboard in 2012. Their breakthrough came with the release of "Heavy Harm" from their third EP Heavy Harm (2010), produced by Paul Dempsey, which gained national radio rotation on Triple J. Papa vs Pretty released their debut album United in Isolation in 2011, earning a nine out of ten rating from Triple J Magazine and nominations for Best Rock Album at the ARIA Music Awards and Album of the Year at the J Awards. The band announced their breakup in 2014.
