Luca Bassanese is an Italian singer-songwriter and author born in 1975 in Vicenza. He was influenced by the music of Fabrizio De André and his father’s harmonica playing. Bassanese achieved public recognition in 2004 when his song “Confini” won the XV edition of the Premio Recanati Musicultura. In 2006, he released his debut studio album, Al Mercato, which featured collaborations with the Kočani Orkestar. His recording history included the albums La Società dello Spettacolo (2008), which was inspired by the work of Guy Debord, and Il Futuro del Mondo (2010). In 2013, he received the Premio Vrban Eco-festival and the Marcello Torre certificate of merit for his work regarding social and environmental sustainability. His later recordings included the albums Popolare Contemporaneo (2013), L'Amore (è) Sostenibile (2014) and RESET! (2023). Bassanese has also collaborated with the writers Stefano Florio and Jacopo Fo.
