Houston Swing Engine was a Swiss rock band formed in Lausanne in 2001. The group included Danek on vocals, François on guitar, Frank on drums, and Renaud on bass, who was replaced by Laurent in 2004. The band gained exposure performing at the Montreux Jazz Festival in July 2005 as an opening act for Queens of the Stone Age. Its discography includes Greatest Hits (2002), The Smell of Horses (2003), and The Tiger Flamboyant (2005). Its final album, Entre Hommes, was released in April 2007. The group disbanded amicably in the spring of 2008 after performing over a hundred concerts in Switzerland and France.
