Ar Re Yaouank, a Breton music group formed in 1986 by brothers Fred and Jean-Charles Guichen from Quimper, along with Gaël Nicol and David Pasquet. The group's energetic fusion of rock rhythms and traditional Celtic music revitalized the fest-noz scene in Brittany. Their initial lineup included Fred on accordion diatonique and Jean-Charles on guitar, joined later by Stéphane de Vito on bass. In 1995, the group released the album Breizh Positive, which featured the title track as well as songs including "M-A-L (An-Dro)" and "Ha Dall ha Dall Daoned ! (Plinn)". The band's energetic performances and modern arrangements attracted a younger audience to traditional Breton music. They disbanded in 1998, but their influence endured through subsequent groups like Manau, which sampled Breizh Positive for "Panique celtique". The group briefly reunited for notable performances, including opening the Festival des Vieilles Charrues in 2011, at a private dinner for Vieilles Charrues Festival volunteers in 2012, and in 2013 at the Yaouank Festival.
