Test Icicles was a London-based rock band that emerged in 2004, founded by Rory Attwell and Sam Mehran, who were later joined by Dev Hynes. Their debut single, "Boa vs. Python", appeared in 2005, setting the stage for a rapid succession of releases. In October 2005 the group released the single "Circle. Square. Triangle", alongside their first full-length album, For Screening Purposes Only. The band's momentum continued into 2006 when they issued the single "What's Your Damage?", followed by the farewell EP Dig Your Own Grave, released shortly after the group's split was announced. Test Icicles disbanded in 2006, marking the end of a brief but intense tenure in the English rock landscape.
