Verdena is an Italian alternative rock band from Albino, Bergamo, formed in 1995 by brothers Alberto Ferrari and Luca Ferrari. Roberta Sammarelli joined on bass in 1996 but departed in 2023, leaving the brothers to continue as a duo. Their debut EP, Valvonauta, was released in 1999, followed by their self-titled debut album, Verdena (1999), which sold over 40,000 copies and earned the PIM Award for Best Revelation Group of 1999. The band gained significant airplay with the singles "Valvonauta" (1999) and "Viba" (2000). Their second album, Solo un grande sasso (2001), was produced by Manuel Agnelli and reached number 6 on the FIMI charts. The band subsequently released Il suicidio dei samurai (2004) and Requiem (2007), incorporating elements of grunge, psychedelia, and stoner rock. Their later releases include the double album Wow (2011), the two-volume project Endkadenz Vol. 1 (2015) and Endkadenz Vol. 2 (2015), and Volevo magia (2022), which reached number 2 on the Italian charts.
