Triste Sire is a French alternative rock group from Lyon, formed in 1999 by Michael Desoutter and Johannès. The founders met drummer Niko Gamet through their respective bands to establish the group. In 2003, signed to Ariok Records, the trio released the EP Allons, enfants..., which features the punk title track “Allons, enfants...” and a cover of Erik Satie's “La Gnossienne n°1”. The group performed at political and charity events, which include Anti G8 and Sidaction. In 2007, they performed as a Découverte selection at the Printemps de Bourges festival. Their debut studio album, Attache-moi, was released on February 29, 2008, and includes the track “Sodome, Gomorrhe et Babylone”. The group collaborated with photographer Andy Julia, director Julien Coquet on the music video for “Rue de ses désirs” (2008), and director Adrien Chapuis on the video for “Les Sirènes” (2009). In January 2010, they released the album Le Prince Illusion, incorporating harpsichord and string orchestrations, and featuring the singer RoBERT on the track “Vampiria”. Their performances include opening for the band Ange at the Olympia in Paris on January 31, 2010, and they also released the music video for “Comme un crash” in October 2010.
