Serge Deyglun, born December 18, 1929, was a Quebec singer-songwriter, writer, broadcaster, and environmental activist. Born in Montreal to actor-playwright Henry Deyglun and actress Mimi d'Estée, he began his career in his father's radio dramas before performing as a singer and writing for several Quebec publications. He later hosted radio and television programs on hunting and fishing while becoming one of Quebec's earliest advocates for wildlife conservation and environmental protection. Deyglun directed the National Film Board documentary Massacre of the Innocents (1965), campaigned for seal conservation and water purification, and published several poetry collections. His best-known song, "Retour des chantiers," was recorded by multiple artists. Deyglun died on August 19, 1972.
