Vestal Claret, occult metal duo from Connecticut, was formed in 2006 by Phil Swanson on vocals and Simon Tuozzoli on bass and guitar. Their first demo, Two Stones, appeared in 2006, followed by a split with Atlantean Kodex that attracted attention from Sentinel Steel, a contract later withdrawn due to stylistic differences. The duo released Bloodbath in 2011, noted for traditional doom influences, and The Cult of Vestal Claret in 2014, featuring "The Stranger" and Satanic themes. In 2016, they issued the EP Reborn, and in 2021 released the album Vestal Claret.
