Karmakanic, a Swedish progressive rock band, was formed in 2002. Known for their retro-progressive rock sound, their music blended symphonic rock with jazz and fusion influences, often featuring concept albums and epically long compositions. The group's inception began with Jonas Reingold composing the first songs for Karmakanic and collaborating with Tomas Bodin, Zoltan Csörsz, Roine Stolt, and Göran Edman to record their debut album Entering the Spectra, released in 2002. Karmakanic's discography included notable releases such as Wheel of Life (2005), Who’s the Boss in the Factory? (2008), In a Perfect World (2011), and Dot (2016).
