Jenna Gibbons, known professionally as Jenna G, is a British electronic music singer and songwriter from Manchester, England. She first emerged in 2001 when she collaborated with the drum and bass duo Future Cut on the single “Obsession”, which was released on Metalheadz and topped the UK Dance Chart. In 2003, she formed the group Un-Cut with Future Cut, releasing the single “Midnight”, which reached number 26 on the UK Singles Chart, and their debut studio album, The Un-Calculated Some, on WEA. Their follow-up single, “Fallin’”, reached number 63 on the UK Singles Chart, after which the group was dropped by their label. Jenna G released her debut solo studio album, For Lost Friends, in 2006, the same year Future Cut achieved a UK Number 1 single as co-writers of Lily Allen’s hit “Smile”. She subsequently hosted a Saturday morning show on BBC Radio 1Xtra, collaborated with various electronic acts, and appeared as an actor in the television series Shameless and the television film Strumpet.
