Printer Clips is an alternative music project and side-project of Paul Noonan, the lead vocalist of the Irish band Bell X1. The project, which includes collaborations with several prominent female vocalists, began in 2011. Due to Noonan's commitments with Bell X1, the project's initial releases were delayed until 2014. The project debuted with the EP The Left Sleeve, released on April 25, 2014, followed by a second EP, The Right Sleeve, on May 16, 2014. The first commercial single was “Apparatchik” (2014), featuring vocals by Lisa Hannigan. On May 23, 2014, the self-titled debut studio album, Printer Clips, was released, featuring tracks with Joan As Policewoman, Martha Wainwright, Gemma Hayes, Amy Millan, Julia Stone, and other guest artists. To support the album, Noonan released the single “Snowman” in August 2014 and toured Ireland in December 2014 alongside Hayes, with whom he performed the song on the television channel RTÉ One on August 22, 2014.
