Lafayette Leake, born on June 1, 1920, in Winona, Mississippi, was an American pianist known for his contributions to blues and jazz. In the early 1950s, he joined Willie Dixon's Big Three Trio and began working with Chess Records. Leake played piano on Chuck Berry's One Dozen Berrys (1958) and "Johnny B. Goode" from Berry Is on Top (1959). He supported various artists, including Sonny Boy Williamson, Bo Diddley, Howlin' Wolf, and John Lee Hooker. Leake released his own album Feel So Blue in 1978 under Black & Blue Records. His compositions, such as "Love That Woman," recorded by Fleetwood Mac on their 1971 album The Original Fleetwood Mac, gained notable recognition. Leake passed away on August 14, 1990.
