Trib of Heaven was a folk rock collaboration between Mark Roebuck and Dave Matthews, formed in 1989. The duo recorded ten songs during two sessions at Greg Howard's home studio in Scottsville, Virginia, with nine tracks ultimately released on their album Imagine We Were. The album featured five songs written solely by Roebuck, three co-written by both artists, and a cover of U2's "In God's Country". Despite being offered to various record labels in early 1990, no deal was established. Matthews later formed the Dave Matthews Band and included Tribe of Heaven's "The Song that Jane Likes" on their debut album Remember Two Things (1993). Imagine We Were was released in 2005.
