Gisela Lavado López, known as Gisela Lavado and also billed as “Princesa Acollina” and “La Internacional y Única Reyna Chelera,” was a Peruvian folk/huayno singer-songwriter born on September 4, 1972, in Acolla (Jauja, Junín). She began building her public identity in Peru’s provincial circuit with a repertoire that mixed romantic heartbreak with drinking-themed choruses, a lane she branded as the “onda chelera.” In the early 2000s she circulated music and video material under the La Princesa Acollina banner (often dated to 2002), including songs such as “Quítame la vida” and “Pagarás,” and by 2000 she had a full album-era statement with La Reyna Chelera, which framed her signature themes through tracks like “Amor Ingrato,” “Mil Cervezas,” “Siempre Pierdo en el Amor,” and “Tomo una Cerveza.” After years where her catalog lived largely through live performance, fan circulation, and re-uploads, she reactivated her discography in the 2020s with official reissues and new releases tied to Chycord Music Group: 2024 brought a fresh campaign around “Quítame La Vida,” “Pagaras,” and the single project Exitos De Oro, and in 2025 she followed with the compilation album Solo Éxitos, which packaged a broader selection of her best-known recordings into one release.
