Andrei Vladimirovich Derzhavin is a Russian singer, composer, and the frontman of the group Stalker, born in Ukhta, Soviet Union, on September 20, 1963. Born to geophysicist parents, he studied the piano and graduated from the music school in Ukhta before attending the Ukhta State Technical University, where he co-founded Stalker in 1985. With Stalker, he released the group's first tape album (magnitoalbum), Zvyozdy, in 1986, followed by Novosti iz pervykh ruk in 1988. Following the dissolution of the Soviet Union, Derzhavin pursued a solo career until the end of 1999, releasing the studio albums Sam po sebe in 1996, Raznoye i dorogoye in 2003, and Izbrannoye in 2016. His musical catalog includes the popular hit singles “Ne plach, Alisa!” and “Brat ty mne”, and his compositions were used in the cartoon series Nu, pogodi!. In the spring of 2019, Derzhavin reunited with Stalker to embark on the group's first major tour since 1999.
