Grup Vitamin, a Turkish band formed in 1990 by Gökhan Semiz and his friends from the Istanbul Conservatory, gained popularity with their humorous lyrics and melodies. The group initially created parodies of international hits for fun, but their work caught the attention of producer İlhan Tek, who decided to produce an album with them. Their debut album, Bol Vitamin, released in 1991 under Karneval Plak & Kaset, featured İzel on several tracks and sold over 495,000 copies. Notable albums include Yandık Desene (1992), Üşüttük (1993), and Aşkın Gözyaşları (1994). Tragically, Semiz died in a car accident on October 18, 1998. His bandmates Emrah Anul and Selçuk Aksoy completed his final songs, releasing Iyi Günler Türkiye in 1998 under Prestij Müzik. The band disbanded following Semiz's death but later reunited, releasing Endoplazmik Retikulum in 2015.
