Marcus Hook Roll Band was a studio group formed in London in 1972 by Harry Vanda and George Young, former members of The Easybeats, as a session project to record their songwriting work. The group issued its first single, “Natural Man”, in August 1972, followed by “Louisiana Lady” in March 1973 and “Can't Stand the Heat” in 1974. On March 11, 1974, the album Tales of Old Grand-Daddy was released on Albert Productions and EMI, peaking at number 89 on the Australian Kent Music Report chart. The recordings featured Malcolm Young on guitar, while his brother Angus Young was present during the sessions. The project preceded the brothers' formation of AC/DC. The album was reissued in 1981 as Full File and again on CD in 1994, with a remastered edition released on June 2, 2014.
