Powerstroke, a Belgian thrash metal group from the Flemish Region, was formed in 2008. Their breakthrough came in 2011 when they won the Metal Battle Belgium and subsequently performed at the Wacken Open Air festival. Powerstroke released their debut album Once... We Were Kings in 2009 under Alcatraz Music. The band released Awaken the Beast in 2012, followed by In For A Penny, In For A Pound in 2014. In 2015, they performed at major festivals, including Graspop Metal Meeting and Antwerp Metal Fest. Their next albums, Done Deal (2016) and Omissa (2018), continued to evolve their sound, with Omissa showing influences from bands such as Fear Factory and DevilDriver. In 2023, they released Diamonds Made Of Scars.
