Suchtpotenzial is a German singer-songwriter duo consisting of pianist Ariane Müller and singer Julia Gámez Martin. The duo formed in 2013 after meeting at the Theater Ulm. Their first songs were released in 2013, characterized by Gámez Martin's powerful vocals paired with Müller's piano or guitar playing. Suchtpotenzial released their debut album, 100 Prozent Alko-Pop Live, in 2014, followed by Eskalation! Live in Ulm (2017), and Sexuelle Belustigung (2019). Notable collaborations include working with Oliver Kalkofe & Peter Rütten for the single "Fucking for Peace" (2018) and with Addictive Potential and Yasi Hofer for "Just as Shitty" (2019). The duo has received numerous awards, including the Troubadour Chanson Preis in 2013, the Kleinkunstpreis Baden-Württemberg in 2014, and the Deutscher Kleinkunstpreis in 2020 for Eskalation! Live in Ulm.
