Susanna and the Magical Orchestra is a Norwegian duo consisting of singer Susanna Wallumrød and keyboard player Morten Qvenild. Formed in 2000, their music blends slow pop with elements of electronica and jazz. The duo's debut album, List of Lights and Buoys, was released in 2004 by Rune Grammofon. Produced by Andreas Mjøs and Helge Sten, the album showcased Wallumrød’s distinctive voice accompanied by Qvenild’s versatile keyboard work. Their second album, Melody Mountain, released in 2006, featured slow, low-key cover versions of songs by artists such as Leonard Cohen and Prince. The duo's third album, simply titled 3, was released in 2009 and included covers of Roy Harper’s "Another Day" and Rush’s "Subdivisions". Susanna and the Magical Orchestra have toured extensively across Europe, Japan, China, and the USA since 2004. Notable singles include "When I Am Laid", released on December 2, 2011.
