Geir Børresen, born on November 16, 1942, in Oslo, Norway, was a Norwegian actor, entertainer, and singer. He made his film debut in Liv (1967) and his stage debut at Nationaltheatret in 1968. He worked as a presenter on the television show Lekestue from 1975 to 1981, and later played the characters Labbetuss and Max Mekker in the television series Sesam Stasjon in the 1990s. As an entertainer and children's musician, he released highly successful Smurf-themed albums, including I Smurfeland (1978), Sommer i Smurfeland (1979), and Alle gode ting er Smurf (1979), which together sold nearly 400,000 copies. He also voiced Trigger in the Norwegian dub of the film Robin Hood (1973). Børresen died on July 25, 2022, in Bærum, Norway.
