Kaly Live Dub, a French dub band from Lyon, was formed in 1995. Initially known as Kaly Calipso, the group began with a strong reggae influence before transitioning to their signature "novo dub" sound. Their first EP, Orange Dub, was released in 1998, followed by the album Electric Kool Aid in 2001. The band's diverse musical style evolved over subsequent releases such as Hydrophonic (2002) and 3 Maximal Overdubs ( 2004). Kaly Live Dub continued to explore new sonic territories with albums like Repercussions (2005) and Fragments ( 2008). In 2013, they released Allaxis, marking a shift towards dubstep influences. Notable collaborations include "Rastaman Chant" with Johnny Clarke in 2016 and a remix album by ODG prod in 2018.
