Dieter Kovačič, known professionally as dieb13, and born in 1973 in Graz, Austria, is an improvisational musician specializing in turntablism. In the late 1980s, Kovačič began experimenting with various audio playback devices and their respective media formats. Kovačič developed the open-source loop player kluppe, contributing to his innovative approach in electronic music. Notable solo albums include Restructuring (2000), Just in Case You Are Bored. So Are We. (2002), and Streaming (2002). His collaborations include performances with Billy Roisz, eRikm, Phil Minton, Martin Siewert, and Burkhard Stangl. He also worked with groups such as the klingt.orgestra, Swedish Azz, and the John Butcher Group. He has also released collaborative works such as Zirkadia with Tomas Korber and Jason Kahn (2005) and Jazz på Svenska with Swedish Azz (2010).
