Born in Grozny in 1989, Asche moved with his parents to Bochum, a major city in Germany’s Ruhr region, at a very young age. Born Amir Israel Aschenberg, the artist devoted himself primarily to various martial arts as a teenager. At age 16, he developed a passion for hip-hop and began writing his first lyrics. As a young and motivated gangsta rapper, he made his first major musical statement in 2008 with “Das erste Mal”. His debut EP, Mephisto, released in 2013, attracted significant attention in the German hip-hop scene. Two years later, on Barcodes, Asche offered emotional and very personal insights into his childhood. After a creative hiatus, the rapper returned in 2018 with tracks such as “CLS” (feat. SadiQ), “Kein Problem” , and “Dschingis Khan”. Musically, he has now shifted toward a more pop-oriented trap sound featuring autotune vocals. Later that same year, he released his debut album, Pandemonium. Asche signs with Alpha Music Empire. The following year, the rapper joins his label boss and gangsta rap legend Kollegah on his promotional tour for the album Alphagene II. Asche also provides vocals on the tracks “YAYO” and “Offenes Verdeck” . 2020 became the year Asche consistently shook up the charts: While the song “Wir sind Täter” (feat. Kollegah) surged to number 61, “Sinaloa”, featuring Fard and Kollegah, even made it to number 38 on the German singles charts. It is Kollegah, in turn, with whom Asche records the collaborative album Natural Born Killas in 2021. The album becomes his first No. 1 hit on the German charts. His own second album, Was bleibt ist Asche, is also released in 2021. Reaching No. 3 on the German charts and No. 5 on the Swiss charts, the album marked the MC’s biggest solo successes to date. He has since become one of the leading figures in the local rap scene. In 2022, Asche released another studio album, Sie nannten ihn Knochenbrecher. Reaching No. 4 in Germany and No. 7 in Switzerland, it once again secured top-10 placements. Two years later, the rapper’s sixth album, Lang lebe Asche, followed. The album reached the top 10 in Germany (No. 7), Austria (No. 6), and Switzerland (No. 9). At the end of May 2025, Asche released the studio album Barcodes II. With this release, the rapper reached No. 5 in both Germany and Austria. In August, a new studio album, Feind von jedem LP, was released. The album climbed to No. 4 in Germany.
