Autumn Tears, a dark wave band from Billerica, Massachusetts, was formed in September 1995 by Ted Tringo and Erika T. Swinnich. The group's debut album Love Poems for Dying Children - Act I was released in 1996 and featured symphonic arrangements influenced by ancient chants and classical music. In 1997, Autumn Tears followed up with Love Poems for Dying Children...Act II: The Garden of Crystalline Dreams. Their subsequent album, Eclipse, introduced new vocalist Laurie Ann Haus in 2004. After a hiatus, Autumn Tears returned in 2018 with an EP titled The Origin of Sleep and released their first full-length album in over a decade, Colors Hidden Within The Gray, in 2019. In 2025, they released Crown of the Clairvoyant.
