Jon Astley, born 1951, is a British record producer and mastering engineer. He notably co‑produced the Who’s eighth studio album Who are You (1978) alongside Glyn Johns and later supervised remastering projects for the entire Who catalogue. Astley released the album Everyone Loves the Pilot (Except the Crew) in 1987, followed by The Compleat Angler in 1988. His track "Jane's Getting Serious" (1987) later gained renewed attention through a Heinz ketchup television commercial. Astley’s production credits include projects for Eric Clapton, Barclay James Harvest, Corey Hart and Deborah Harry, while his mastering expertise has been applied to albums by the Who, ABBA, George Harrison, Tori Amos, the Rolling Stones, Judas Priest, Led Zeppelin, and many others.
