Suckle, a Scottish indie pop group formed in Glasgow in the mid-1990s, consisted of former Vaselines member Frances McKee, her sister Marie McKee, and James Seenan, joined later by Elanor Taylor, Brian McEwan, Kenny McEwan, and Vicky Morton. Their debut EP Hormonal Secretions appeared in 1997, followed by the single "Cybilla" in 1998. In 2000, they released the single "To Be King", followed by the album Against Nurture in 2000, which received critical comparison to Nick Cave and Stereolab. The same year, they issued the EP The Sun is God before disbanding shortly after.
