Danava is an American hard rock and psychedelic rock band formed in Portland, Oregon, in 2003 by Gregory Meleney, Monte Mattsson, Zachariah Dellorto-Blackwell, and Ben Vargas. The band released a demo in 2004, and Vargas left the band in 2005, shortly before the group signed with Kemado Records. The band's self-titled debut studio album, Danava, was released in 2006. The group followed with the album UnonoU (2008), which includes the song "Where Beauty & Terror Dance", and Hemisphere of Shadows (2011). Subsequent tours included performances across Europe and at festivals such as the Roadburn Festival in 2008 and Muskelrock in 2013. The band also toured with acts including Down, Voivod, and Melvins. The group later released the studio album Nothing But Nothing (2023) through Tee Pee Records, followed by the album Danava Live (2024) on Heavy Psych Sounds Records.
