The Randies, a female-fronted punk rock band from Los Angeles, California, formed with Sienna DeGovia on bass guitar and vocals, Laura Cataldo on rhythm guitar and backup vocals, and Laurita Guaico Harrison on lead guitar and vocals. The group gained initial recognition through features in Blender magazine and as the featured artists of the month on Fender's website. They released the album At the Friendship Motor Inn in 2004, which included tracks such as "Boys in Stereo", "Threadbare", and "Hyperion". The Randies toured extensively, including appearances on the Vans Warped Tour in 2008. They won the award for "Punk Rock Night's Sexiest Band of 2006" at the Punk Rock Night Awards Show held at The Historic Melody Inn in Indianapolis, Indiana. Their last major activity was disrupted when their van, containing all instruments and gear, was stolen in Silverlake, California, in April 2009.
