Flies Inside the Sun was a New Zealand band that was active between 1993 and 2004. The ensemble consisted of Kim Pieters, Peter Stapleton, Danny Butt, and Brian Crook and participated in the local improvisation and noise scene. They released their debut studio album, An Audience of Others (Including Herself), in 1995. The group disbanded when Crook left to focus on other projects but returned in 1997 to release their eponymous studio album. Their discography includes the studio recordings Le Mal D'Archive (1999), Cactus Sky (2000), and Burning Glass (2004).
