Generacija 5, a Serbian rock band formed in Belgrade in 1977, initially consisted of Dragoljub Ilić on keyboards, Jovan Rašić on vocals, Dragan Jovanović on guitar, Dušan Petrović on bass guitar, and Slobodan Đorđević on drums. The band released their debut single "Novi Život / Izgubljeni San" in 1978, marking the beginning of their jazz rock-oriented career. Their debut album Generacija 5 followed in 1980, featuring popular tracks such as "Dolazim za pet minuta" and "Ti i ja". The band's second album, Dubler, was released in 1981. Despite their success, Generacija 5 disbanded the following year. In 1985, former members contributed to YU Rock Misija, the Yugoslav contribution to Live Aid. Generacija 5 reunited in 1992 and released several albums, including Svet Je Tvoj in 1997.
