Tracedawn, a Finnish death metal band formed in the mid-2000s under the original name Moravia, began their musical journey in Finland. The group changed their name to Tracedawn in 2007 and released their self-titled debut album in 2008. Their second album, Ego Anthem, was released in 2009 under Redhouse Finland Music Publishing. In September of the same year, they released a video for "The Forsaken" from that album. The band performed at the Summer Breeze Festival in 2009 alongside notable acts such as Dark Funeral and Sepultura. Tracedawn faced significant lineup changes in 2010 when several founding members left, leading to a search for a new vocalist. Their third album, Lizard Dusk, was released in February 2012 under Redhouse.
