Boogiemonsters, an American hip-hop group, consists of Bronx rapper Mondo McCann, Alaskan-born Vex Da Vortex (Sean Pollard), and Jamaican-born brothers Myntric (Sean Myers) and Yodared (Ivor "Al" Myers). The group originated when Vex, Myntric, and Yodared met in high school in Virginia. After graduation, they began performing together at campus shows and talent competitions. In 1994, Boogiemonsters released their album Riders of the Storm: The Underwater Album under Pendulum/EMI, which included singles "Recognized Thresholds of Negative Stress" and "Strange". Following the release, Yodared and Myntric left the group due to religious convictions. In 1997, Boogiemonsters released their second album, God Sound, a darker and more mature recording under EMI. The group disbanded shortly after, with sporadic appearances on compilations and singles. In January 2025, Vex Da Vortex announced the passing of former member Myntric.
