The Manfreds, a British pop group formed in 1991, is a reunion of former members of the 1960s pop group Manfred Mann, excluding their eponymous founder. The original lineup included Paul Jones, Mike d'Abo, Tom McGuinness, Mike Hugg, Mike Vickers, Rob Townsend, and Benny Gallagher. They initially reformed to celebrate guitarist Tom McGuinness's 50th birthday and promote a Manfred Mann compilation. Their first album, 5-4-3-2-1, was released in 1998 followed by L.I.V.E in 1999. The group went on to release more albums in 2000 and 2003, with more members joining them including Marcus Cliffe on bass and Simon Currie on saxophone and flute. They continued to performed live, often balancing these commitments with other projects. In 2016, they released Makin' Tracks, featuring both Jones and d'Abo on vocals.
