Mia Celeste Dyson, also known as Mia Dyson, born in 1981 in Daylesford, Victoria, is an Australian singer, songwriter, and guitarist. Raised in a musical household by her blues guitarist father Jim Dyson, she began performing at local venues during her teenage years. Her debut album, Cold Water, was released in 2003 via Black Door Records, followed by Parking Lots in 2005, which won the ARIA Award for Best Blues and Roots Album. In 2007, she supported Eric Clapton during his Australian tour and released her third album, Struck Down. Dyson relocated to Boston in 2009 to pursue opportunities in the American music scene, moving to Los Angeles in 2010. She has collaborated with notable artists such as Ani DiFranco and Urthboy, and performed at various international festivals, including NXNE in Canada and the Edinburgh Festival in Scotland.
