Real Street Project, officially known as RSP, was a Japanese hip-hop and R&B dance unit formed in the Kansai region in 2006. Selected from over 5,000 applicants in a Sony Records audition, the group originally comprised singers Ai and Saki alongside four dancers who left in 2009 [cite: 79, 101, 110]. They debuted with the single “A Street Story” in December 2006. Their second single, “Lifetime Respect -女編-” (2007), peaked at number 4 on the Oricon weekly chart and won the Best Newcomer Award at the 40th Japan Cable Awards. Their single “Kansha.” (2008) served as the fourteenth ending theme for the anime Bleach. RSP released its debut studio album, DICE, in 2008, followed by ii in 2010, the latter featuring their tenth single “Ai Kotoba”. After performing at the 2010 Anime Expo in Los Angeles, the duo disbanded following a final show on November 3, 2013, in Osaka, later reuniting briefly for a hometown tour in 2018.
