Scarlett Belle was an Australian pop duo formed in 2007, consisting of Tamara Jaber and Reigan Derry. The group started as a trio with Hayley Aitken but transitioned to a duo after Aitken's departure in 2008. Scarlett Belle signed their first record deal with Def Jam Recordings in 2007, facilitated by radio presenter Kyle Sandilands, who was Jaber’s manager at the time. Based between Los Angeles and Sydney, they worked on their debut album with notable producers including Ne-Yo, Snoop Dogg, JR Rotem, Nate Dogg, StarGate, Rudy Sandapa, and Israel Cruz. However, in 2008, Scarlett Belle were dropped from Def Jam and Aitken left the group. After signing with Sony Music Australia, Scarlett Belle released their debut single "Closure" in June 2010, which peaked at number 38 on the ARIA Singles Chart. Their second single, a cover of Cruz's "Freak Tonight", featuring guest vocals from Cruz and rapper Miracle, reached number 29 on the same chart. The group’s third and final single, "Lover Boy", was released in November 2010 but did not impact the charts significantly. In May 2011, Jaber announced that Scarlett Belle had disbanded to pursue solo careers, with no reported rift between the members.
