Twilightning was a Finnish power metal band formed in 1998 in Imatra. The original lineup included Jussi Kainulainen on bass, Juha Leskinen on drums, Tommi Sartanen on guitar and vocals, and Ville Wallenius on guitar. In February 1999, they recorded their first demo at Astia Studios in Lappeenranta. Mikko Naukkarinen joined as a keyboardist later that year. In November 2001, Twilightning signed with Spinefarm Records and began working on their debut album, Delirium Veil, released in 2003. Their second album, Plague-House Puppet Show, followed in 2004. The EP Bedlam was released in 2006. Naukkarinen left the band that same year. Their third album, Swinelords, was released in 2007. In July 2009, during the recording of their fourth album, Twilightning disbanded due to a lack of motivation and each member pursued personal projects.
