Mörk Gryning, a Swedish black metal band, was formed in 1993 by Jonas Berndt and Peter Nagy. The duo, under their respective pseudonyms Goth Gorgon and Draakh Kimera, released their debut album Tusen år har gått in 1995 through No Fashion Records. This early work showcased the band's traditional Swedish black metal sound, often compared to contemporaries like Dark Funeral and Dissection. In 2003, Mörk Gryning experimented with electronic elements and unconventional instruments on Pieces of Primal Expressionism. Following Nagy’s departure in November 2003, Berndt announced the band's dissolution in January 2005, citing a loss of interest in black metal. Despite this, their final album Mörk Gryning was released later that year. The band reunited for live performances starting in 2016 and continued to release new music, including Hinside Vrede in 2020 and Fasornas tid in 2024.
