Hera Björk Þórhallsdóttir, known professionally as Hera Björk, was born on March 29, 1972, in Reykjavik, Iceland. She is an Icelandic singer who began singing at a young age in commercials and on a children's album by the time she was 12. In 1988, she won the South Island talent Competition with the song "Perfect". Her breakthrough moment came when she represented Iceland at the Eurovision Song Contest in Oslo in 2010 with "Je ne sais quoi", finishing 19th in the final. She released her first solo album, Ilmur af Jólum, in 2000, followed by a self-titled album in 2006. In 2024, she represented Iceland again at the Eurovision Song Contest in Malmö with "Scared of Heights", but did not qualify for the final.
