Axel Broszeit, born March 23, 1975, in Freiburg, Germany, known professionally as Axel Coon, is a German disc jockey, musician, and producer. He studied as an industrial-electronic engineer before pursuing music alongside his brother, producing hip-hop and techno tracks. He released his debut single “Take Two” in 1997 under the alias Lacoon, which led to an internship at Scooter's studio. In December 1997, Coon performed with Scooter in Bremen as a live replacement for Rick J. Jordan, and three months later he officially joined the hard dance group as a full member, replacing Ferris Bueller. He made his official debut with Scooter on the single “How Much Is the Fish?”, contributing to four studio albums—No Time to Chill in 1998, Back to the Heavyweight Jam in 1999, Sheffield in 2000, and We Bring the Noise! in 2001—before departing the group in 2002. Following his departure, he collaborated with Bueller under the project name Fragrance and released solo singles including “Close to You” in 2002, “Lamenting City” in 2004, and “Mayday” in 2007.
