Günter Müller, born October 20, 1954, Munich, West Germany, is a German improvisational musician, percussionist, and educator based in Switzerland. Best known for integrating live electronics with percussion, he developed a distinctive performance style using portable pickups, microphones, MiniDisc, and later digital playback devices. His collaborations have included George Lewis, Christian Marclay, Keith Rowe, Jim O'Rourke, Otomo Yoshihide, Carlos Zingaro, and Urs Leimgruber. Müller also co-founded the groups Nachtluft and poire_z. In 1990, he established the independent label For 4 Ears, releasing albums like Slow Motion (1994), Weighting (1998), and Eight Landscapes (2003).
