Liv Migdal, born in 1988 in Herne, Germany, is a German violinist. She began playing the violin at the age of three, studied under Christiane Hutcap, and received a scholarship from the Horst Rahe-Stiftung in 2001. She performed in various countries including Sweden, Italy, Switzerland, Germany, Austria, Slovenia, Poland, and Israel. She collaborated with orchestras such as the Neue Westfälische Philharmonie, the Polnische Kammerphilharmonie, and the Folkwang-Kammerorchester. In 2009, she was accepted into the Studienstiftung des deutschen Volkes and received a scholarship from the Yehudi-Menuhin-Stiftung "Live Music Now". Her notable achievements include winning the Premio Utopia Napoli in Italy in 2005, the 1st International Hindemith Competition in Berlin, and the international string competition of the Yamaha Music Foundation of Europe in 2010. Her discography includes the albums Beethoven, Debussy, Strauss (2013) and Józef und Henryk Wieniawski (2015) with her father Marian Migdal, as well as 8 Jahreszeiten (2016), Refuge – Bach, Ben-Haim, Bartók (2019), and Paul Ben-Haim (2024).
