Curd Duca, born on March 14, 1955 in Austria, was a musician, composer, and producer of electronic music. He played accordion, guitar, vocals, and percussion in bands from 1982 to 1991, including "Auch wenn es seltsam klingen mag," "8 ODER 9," and "Skin." Duca began solo projects in 1992, focusing on electronic music. His early works included the Easy Listening series released between 1992 and 1997. Notable albums include Switched-On Wagner (1996) and the Elevator series (Elevator, Elevator 2, Elevator 3) from 1998 to 2000. Duca's work often involved manipulating samples using techniques like granular synthesis. He performed at venues, including the Donaueschinger Musiktage, and contributed music to films such as Rote Ohren fetzen durch Asche (1991) and The Subversion Agency (2004).
